Tracker questions
Do trackers stop the car being stolen?
No, a standard tracker is a recovery device, not a prevention one. If stopping the engine starting is what you want, see our immobilisers. Deadlock is the exception, since it adds remote immobilisation on top of tracking.
Will my insurer recognise it?
Both are Thatcham Category S5 approved, which most UK insurers recognise for tracking discounts. Check your policy's exact wording.
Is there an ongoing cost?
The fitting price covers hardware and installation. The monitoring subscription that powers 24/7 tracking is billed separately by Meta Trak.
